All-New 2020 Explorer Offers Updated Styling, Performance, and Features

The 2020 model year brings a major overhaul for the Ford Explorer. From styling to performance, Ford has re-worked its popular family SUV for the better.

The previous generation Ford Explorer maintained the model's popularity for the better part of a decade, providing excellent utility, convenience, and features. Things are getting even better with the new 2020 model, however. Ford has built the newest Explorer on an entirely new platform with refreshed looks and all-new performance potential.

Looks: The new 2020 Explorer goes for a distinctly sporty appearance. Sharp horizontal headlamps with LED running lights sit on either side of a large grille, and alloy wheels tuck neatly into refined body lines. The Explorer ST stands out with red brake calipers, black body accents, and black wheels.

Performance: The most significant performance news for the new Explorer is its return to a rear-wheel drive architecture. This engineering decision allows for a sportier feel and improved towing capability. Along with rear-wheel drive performance, the new Explorer offers two EcoBoost engine options and a new hybrid powertrain option.

Features: A wealth of new features are offered in the new 2020 Explorer. One of the most exciting additions is the available 10.1-inch LCD Portrait Touchscreen. It's a prominent interface that offers easy access to your favorite applications. You can also get a new 12.3-inch digital instrument panel with customizable graphics and information.

Safety: A ream of active safety features are available in the 2020 Explorer. The Ford Co-Pilot 360 package offers Lane Keeping System, Blind Spot Information System, Adaptive Cruise Control, and more.

The all-new 2020 Explorer is ready to test drive here at Wilson Ford Lincoln. Come by to view the SUV in person and take it for a test drive!
