Ford Ranger: Smart and Capable Mid-Size Truck

Introduced to drivers in Logan, UT in 2019, the all-new Ford Ranger is a mid-size pickup truck with tremendous capabilities. Wilson Ford Lincoln sells this light-duty vehicle that comes in three editions, including the Lariat.

The Ranger's 2.3 L engine block combines some of the most innovative mechanical technologies developed by Ford. The built-in turbocharger is powered by the EcoBoost system, and the valvetrain is managed by the Ti-VCT function. Combustion in this I-4 powertrain yields up to 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The maximum conventional towing rating of this light-duty pickup truck is 7,500 pounds. Need to haul equipment? The bed is strong enough to support a payload of 1,860 pounds. A four-pin wiring receptor is installed on the car's hitch. When towing a trailer on meandering roads, the Ranger gets help from the Trailer Sway Control.

This mid-size Ford pickup truck in Logan, UT has parabolic springs in the rear suspension system. Operating on a two-stage mechanism, the springs resist vibrations much better than conventional multi-leaf springs. The Hotchkiss-type components further bolster the car's rear suspension. Having an independent design with A-arms, the front suspension system responds instantly to harsh shocks and forces from the ground.

The Ranger also wears robust mechanical hardware for superb off-road trekking. The optional electronic rear differential governs torque in the 4x4 drive system. Want to hit the hills? the Trail Control is tuned to resist gravity. This signature function includes the Hill Descent Control, which applies optimal braking for a steady descent. The Terrain Management System is another installation that's designed for adventures. A single setting optimizes movement on snow and gravel. You can also activate an individual mode that's tuned for sand. Additionally, the Ranger confidently rolls on grass and rocks. The Normal Mode is reserved for smooth driving on asphalt or concrete surfaces.

Flanking the digital speedometer, the car's dual productivity screens measure 4.2 inches diagonally. You'll also see critical information on the 8-inch SYNC 3 display. Need to find directions or other travel data? Just connect your mobile phone to the FordPass Connect suite. Additionally, the Waze and Travel Link apps are installed in the updated SYNC software.
