The Ford Fusion has a great range of improved performance features compared to other cars in its class, which has resulted in newfound respect from car owners and enthusiasts.

The Fusion provides four engine options, two Eco-boost engines, a hybrid engine, and a plug-in hybrid electric engine. For the EcoBoost engines, one has a capacity of 1.5 liters and produces 181 horsepower. The second has a capacity of 2.0 liters and produces a 245 horsepower. Both are four-cylinder engines. The hybrid powertrain of the Fusion is made of a 2.0-liter hybrid engine coupled with an electric motor. From this, a horsepower of 195 is generated. For the plug-in hybrid and the 2.0 liter, the Atkinson engine is a 9kw/h lithium battery pack. Combined, they generate a 188 horsepower. On a full charge, the Fusion can drive for up to 26 miles on electric power from the battery only.

A combination of these four engines results in a 245 horsepower and a 34-mpg rating on the highway. The engines come with a six-speed automatic transmission guaranteeing great performance and speed on the road.
